RESEARCH TRANSPARENCY

Planned scale, clearly labelled.

This page describes the intended scientific design and platform scale. The figures shown are design targets, not a statement of participants already enrolled.

PROGRAMME STATUSPlanned research platform

Scientific and operational development is presented transparently as the platform progresses.

COHORT FIGURESDesign targets

“Up to 10,000” and “≈1,000” describe intended cohort architecture rather than completed recruitment.

PARTICIPANT INFORMATIONPublished when available

Approved recruitment information and participant materials will be made available through the appropriate study channels.

This is not a clinical-data portal. Do not send patient records, participant information or medical details through the public enquiry form.

INTEGRATED DISCOVERY

One participant. Multiple layers of evidence.

Clinical measures are connected with biological, genomic, imaging, exposure and digital data to examine why kidney disease follows different trajectories.

01 · THE SCIENTIFIC QUESTION

Why do some people progress rapidly while others remain stable?

Similar clinical measurements can conceal very different biological pathways, inherited risks and environmental influences.

NexusGen CKD is designed to identify those differences, connect them with longitudinal kidney and cardiovascular outcomes, and test whether they improve prediction beyond established clinical factors.

02 · INTEGRATED PHENOTYPING

Multiple evidence layers around every participant.

The design combines broad cohort scale with a nested subgroup characterised in greater biological and mechanistic depth.

ACTIVE LAYER · DNA

Genomics and APOL1

Tests how genetic variation modifies kidney decline, cardiovascular risk and biological pathways.

03 · COHORT ARCHITECTURE

Scale for outcomes. Depth for mechanisms.

Every participant contributes to the core longitudinal framework; selected groups contribute richer imaging, biological, environmental and digital measurements.

SELECTED COHORT LAYERUp to 10,000
